Toronto FC vs Club América Live Stream

Toronto FC aims to keep pushing toward the CONCACAF Champions League final this week as it faces off against Club America in the semifinals.

The reigning MLS champions took down their Liga MX counterparts Tigres in the last round, advancing on away goals after securing a 4-4 aggregate scoreline.

Now Toronto will have to face off against Miguel Herrera’s America side that sits fourth in the Liga MX Clausura, having made it to this round after easily dispatching Panamanian side Tauro 7-1 on aggregate in the quarterfinals.

The winner will go onto face the New York Red Bulls or Chivas.

Squads & Team News

Nick Hagglund is likely out with a hamstring injury while Justin Morrow is also a doubt with a calf strain. Both were unsurprisingly not named to the 18 for Friday’s 3-1 win over Real Salt Lake.

Victor Vazquez has been battling a back injury, while an abdominal issue has sidelined Chris Mavinga since he was forced off in the second leg against Tigres. Both are question marks for Tuesday.

Toronto could come out in a 4-4-2 or a 3-5-2 setup.

Potential Toronto starting XI: Bono; Van der Wiel, Moor, Mavinga, Morgan; Bradley, Delgado, Osorio, Vazquez; Giovinco, Altidore.

Jeremy Menez missed America’s game against Cruz Azul because of a hamstring issue and did not travel to Canada.

Oribe Peralta suffered a rib injury against Cruz Azul. He did travel, however, and is questionable for Tuesday’s contest.

Potential America starting XI: Marchesin; Aguilar, Valdez, Aguilera, Vargas; Ibarra, Uribe, Rodriguez, Dominguez; Peralta, Martin

Match Preview

No MLS team has ever won the current incarnation of the CONCACAF Champions League, but no MLS team has ever entered with the resume of Toronto FC.

The reigning MLS champions set a points record last season as they completed the Supporters’ Shield and MLS Cup double. Toronto also took home the Canadian Championship.

While Toronto did well to get past Tigres, the team nearly gave away the second leg, conceding twice in the final 10 minutes and narrowly advancing on away goals. And the Reds’ league form has been middling this far, having lost their first two MLS contests of the season before picking up a win against Real Salt Lake.

They’ll face a Club America side that enters fourth in the Clausura, one point and one spot behind Tigres. It is also facing an America side that has been incredibly hard to defeat this year — Toluca inflicted the only loss of the Clausura on America on March 17.

The trio of Sebastian Giovinco, Jozy Altidore and Michael Bradley will obviously be key to Toronto’s hopes. All three played large roles against Tigres, with Bradley anchoring the midfield, Altidore scoring in the first leg and Giovinco hitting one of his trademark free-kick stunners, which proved to be the difference in the tie.

America will enter with some injuries. Las Aguilas will be without Frenchman Jeremy Menez because of a hamstring injury. Oribe Peralta is no certainty either, which could leave Miguel Herrera without two key players for the first leg on Tuesday.

Toronto will need to make its home-field count in the first leg on Tuesday. A 2-1 win over Tigres at BMO Field was essential in the overall victory, and with a trip to the famed Estadio Azteca awaiting in the second leg, a triumph in the opener may well be required if the MLS champions wish to make their first trip to the CONCACAF Champions League final.

Barcelona face Roma at Camp Nou on Wednesday, April 10. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Barcelona host Roma in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal at Camp Nou on Wednesday. The Spanish giants are first in La Liga, holding a nine-point lead over Atletico Madrid. Roma are a distant third in Serie A, sitting 18 points back of table-topping Juventus. The club are instead battling for one of the final Champions Leagues for next season. Three points third place Roma and their city rival Lazio, who are fifth.

Barcelona advanced to the quarterfinals following a 3-0 win against Chelsea at Camp Nou. However, the Catalan side have not advanced to the semifinals since winning the competition in 2015. Domestically, Barcelona have not lost in La Liga this season but drew with Sevilla in their first game back from the international break. Offensively, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez continue to fill the back of the net. Messi has scored 35 goals and added 16 assists this season, while Suarez 24 goals and 12 assists. With Ousame Dembele returning from injury, the Barcelona attack has become even more difficult to stop as the French international adds additional pace to the front three.

Roma advanced to the quarterfinals after defeated Shakhtar Donetsk 1-0 at home, advancing on away goals. Eusebio Di Francesco’s side drew 1-1 with Bologna on Saturday. The draw ended a three-game winning streak for Roma, who had won six of their previous seven games prior to Saturday’s tie. Di Francesco could be without Radja Nainggolan who suffered an injury against Bologna. Nainggolan is arguably Roma’s most important player, who actively attempts to win possession back and creates opportunities moving forward. In addition to potentially being without Nainggolan, Cengiz Under will miss Wednesday game with a hamstring injury and Lorenzo Pellegrini is questionable with a calf injury.

The Champions League match between Barcelona and Roma will be broadcast live on FS1. Live streaming is available on Fox Sports Go, which you can access with your cable or satellite subscription, either online or through their app.

Barcelona:
Barca appears to be headed to win the Spanish top-flight title this year as the team remains on top of the La Liga table with only eight matchdays left in the season. Head coach Ernesto Valverde’s squad is in the Copa del Rey final as well. This Champions League quarterfinal meeting with Roma gives the Blaugrana the chance to win all three major trophies once again.

The team is coming off a 2-2 draw with Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium in La Liga last Saturday. Sevilla scored the first two goals, but Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez forced the tie with one goal each late in the game.

Meanwhile, Barcelona routed Premier League side Chelsea, 3-0, in their Round-of-16 Champions League match last month held also at Nou Camp. Messi scored a brace during the match with forward Ousmane Dembele providing the third goal.

Valverde’s side looks invincible as they head on a collision course with Roma. Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi is back to 100 percent after struggling with different injuries in the past weeks while midfielder Sergio Busquets is also expected to be back in the starting lineup.

Roma:
The Serie A club is a far third in the Italian top-flight table behind defending champion Juventus and Napoli. They are coming into this game against Barcelona bringing the momentum of a five-game undefeated streak in all competitions.

I Giallorossi settled for a 1-1 tie with Bologna in a domestic match at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium also on Saturday. The hosts scored the opening goal in the 18th minute, but Roma striker Edin Dzeko netted the equalizer 14 minutes before full time to save manager Eusebio Di Francesco from a loss.

In their last Champions League match, Roma eliminated Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk with a 1-0 second leg win at Stadio Olimpico. Dzeko also provided the winning goal for La Magica.

Lorenzo Pellegrini (calf), Rick Karsdorp (knee), and Cengiz Under (hamstring) are out for Di Francesco while midfielder Radja Nainggolan has returned from his biceps injury.

Predicted Lineup:
Here is the potential starting XI for both sides via Goal:

Barcelona starting lineup (4-3-3 formation): Ter Stegen; Semedo, Pique, Umtiti, Alba; Busquets, Rakitic, Iniesta; Dembele, Messi, Suarez.

Roma starting lineup (4-3-2-1 formation): Alisson; Kolarov, Fazio, Manolas, Florenzi; Strootman, De Rossi, Nainggolan; Perotti, Gerson; Dzeko.

Odds:
Here are the odds, per Caught Offside:

Barcelona – 2/9
Roma – 14/1
Draw – 6/1

Ernesto Valverde’s men have strung together a 17-game unbeaten streak in all competitions and are heavy favourites to win on Wednesday

Barcelona return to Champions League action on Wednesday as they welcome Roma to Camp Nou for the first leg of their quarter-final tie.

The Catalan side booked their place in the last eight by beating Chelsea in the round of 16 and they will attempt to put one foot in the semi-finals by winning at home ahead of next week’s second leg in Italy.

Barca come into the game having rescued a point away to Sevilla in La Liga at the weekend, with Lionel Messi emerging from the bench to help his side snatch a 2-2 draw, thus preserving their unbeaten record in the Primera Division.

Roma, meanwhile, defeated Shakhtar Donetsk to reach the quarter-finals and, despite being on a five-game unbeaten run in all competitions, they will have to raise their game significantly if they are to progress past Barca.

Squads & Team News:
Philippe Coutinho is unavailable because he is cup-tied and Lucas Digne is unlikely to be involved as he recovers from injury.

Sergio Busquets is a doubt but the midfielder could potentially return to action if he regains full fitness.

Potential Barcelona starting XI: Ter Stegen; Semedo, Pique, Umtiti, Alba; Busquets, Rakitic, Iniesta; Dembele, Messi, Suarez.

Defender Rick Karsdorp and midfielder Cengiz Under are unavailable due to injury, while doubts linger over Radja Nainggolan and Lorenzo Pellegrini.

Barcelona are one of the favourites to win this season’s Champions League and Roma must be at their absolute best if they are to stand a chance of derailing Ernesto Valverde’s men.

The 2015 Camp Nou meeting between the sides – which the Blaugrana won 6-1 – will still be fresh in the memory of many of the players who take to the field on Wednesday and the Giallorossi will be desperate to avoid a similar fate. Messi got two goals that evening with Luis Suarez also bagging a double and they will once again be key to any success the Catalan side enjoy.

Some pundits, such as former Italy and Juventus star Alessio Tacchinardi, have said that Roma have “no chance” of winning against Barca, particularly at Camp Nou and it is clear that they will have to adopt an ultra-defensive approach if they wish to bring the tie back to the Olimpico alive.

Eusebio di Francesco will be relying on the likes of Kostas Manolas and their highly rated goalkeeper Alisson to martial the defence through difficult terrain on Wednesday, while hoping that Edin Dzeko and Co. can harvest whatever chances they do manage to cultivate.

If Roma do manage to upset the odds and pull off a result it will certainly make for a fascinating second leg in the Italian capital next week.

In the first leg of this quarter-final tie, City, the runaway leaders in the Premier League, will be seeking to tame what’ll be a hostile atmosphere on Merseyside. However, Pep Guardiola’s team have overcome most challenges that have been put in front of them in 2017-18.

Liverpool are the only team to have beaten the Manchester outfit in the top flight this season. The Reds will be confident of repeating that result, especially given star forward Mohamed Salah’s sensational recent form.

A feast of ferocious and fantastic football is in store. Here are all the viewing details, to ensure a minute of this one isn’t missed, and a preview of one of the standout last-eight matches.

Goals Guaranteed in All-English Tussle

Sometimes matches between domestic rivals in the Champions League are a little underwhelming, but anyone who enjoys football will be looking forward to the tussle between these two enterprising outfits.

The onus will be on Liverpool in the first leg, as they’ll be roared on by their supporters with memories of their 4-3 win over City in mind from earlier in the campaign.

With Salah in such stunning form, the Reds will feel as though they can accomplish anything, too. After another goal to secure a late win for Liverpool at Crystal Palace on Saturday, football writer Andrew Beasley put the Egyptian’s goalscoring exploits into context:

And, as noted below, Salah’s extraordinary form has been causing quite a stir back in his homeland:

In addition to Salah, City will have the elusive Roberto Firmino and the dynamic Sadio Mane to cope with at Anfield. Guardiola will want to see his side do a better job here than they did in January, when the trio ran riot.

Yet City won’t take a backwards step against Liverpool, and against Everton in the Premier League on Saturday, they were at their sizzling best, with Leroy Sane, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling pulling the Toffees apart in a stunning first-half show.

Per Tony Scott of the Liverpool Echo, Guardiola appreciated the fact Everton supporters applauded City off the field at the end of the game:

In the game against Liverpool at Anfield earlier in the season, the Reds smothered City in midfield, pouncing on Fernandinho whenever he was in possession and stopping the supply line from the Brazilian into David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne.

It’ll be intriguing to see how Guardiola looks to go about combatting that press. However, as relayed by Kristof Terreur of Het Laatste Nieuws, the midfield linchpin appears better prepared for dealing with that type of challenge based on his performance on Saturday:

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will want to see his players make the most of the atmosphere and start quickly against City. If they can do that, get Salah into the game and upset City’s mechanical passing, then they have a chance of taking an advantage to the Etihad Stadium for the second leg.

Yet the visitors appear ready for this almighty challenge. City are well-rested, in form and seemingly focused ahead of the biggest week in their season so far. They’ll match Liverpool and give themselves an edge at the midpoint of this tantalising tie.

Panthers vs Falcons: Time, TV, live stream

Panthers vs Falcons: Time, TV, liveIt all comes down to Sunday as the Atlanta Falcons host the Carolina Panthers in Week 17 of the 2017 NFL Season. The Falcons have struggled to find consistency all season, but can still make the playoffs with one more win.

All they have to do is knock off the Panthers, a team they lost to earlier this season. They did have a shot in that one, and things may have turned out different if receiver Julio Jones hauled in the pass he inexplicably dropped. Hopefully for the Dirty Birds, this game will bring better luck.

You Can Wath This Game Hd Our Site

What time is kick off?

The game kicks off at 9.25pm at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Georgia is five hours behind British time, meaning a 4.25pm start for the locals.

What TV channel can I watch it on?

Sky Sports Action and Sky Sports Main Event will both broadcast the showdown in Atlanta.

NFL coverage on Sunday begins on Sky Sports Action at 5.30pm with New England Patriots against New York Jets with this game following straight after.

Sunday 6pm and 9pm games shown LIVE on Sky are not available to watch on NFL Game Pass, however Sky Sports subscribers can stream it on Sky Go.

The Carolina Panthers can win the NFC South, but they’re already guaranteed a berth in the NFL playoffs. The defending NFC champion Atlanta Falcons can punch their ticket with a win. The division rivals meet Sunday in a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff.

The Falcons are four-point home favorites, up a full point from where the line opened. The over-under, or total number of points Vegas thinks will be scored, is 45.5, down 1.5 from the opener.

Before you make any bets on Panthers-Falcons, you need to see what SportsLine stat geek R.J. White has to say.

Last Sunday, White told SportsLine readers to back the Saints as 5.5-point favorites against the Falcons in another huge NFC South matchup. The result: New Orleans cruised by 10, easily covering the spread.

Amazingly, that cash improved White to 15-4 in his past 19 against-the-spread picks involving the Falcons. Anyone who has followed his advice is having a very happy holiday season.

Now, White has evaluated every matchup, every injury and every trend and locked in another strong point-spread pick for Panthers-Falcons. You can see it over at SportsLine.

White knows the Falcons have struggled mightily this season under first-year offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian. They’re 9-6, but have only topped 30 points four times. The Seahawks, Ravens and Cowboys are all averaging more points than Atlanta (22.1).

Wide receiver Julio Jones has just four 100-yard games and three touchdowns after he hit the century mark seven times last season and scored six times.

Blake Bortles, Andy Dalton and Derek Carr all have more touchdown passes than Matt Ryan (19).

But just because the Falcons have been inconsistent doesn’t mean they can’t cover, especially at home in a critical game.

The Falcons will be highly motivated. If they lose, they would need the Seahawks to lose to the Cardinals to make the postseason. A chance for redemption after their fourth-quarter Super Bowl collapse should energize the Dirty Birds.

And the last time the Panthers and Falcons met, the Panthers won by three (20-17), but that game was in Carolina.

The Panthers rushed for over 200 yards in that game, with quarterback Cam Newton leading the way with 86. Expect Falcons coach Dan Quinn to make the necessarily adjustments on Sunday.

White is leaning under, but knows there’s a critical stat no one is thinking about that ultimately determines the point-spread winner for Panthers-Falcons.

What are the play-off implications?

For Atlanta it’s very simple – they must win to be sure of their place in the play-offs as the No 6 seed.

Should they lose, they must hope Seattle lose to Arizona or the Seahawks will clinch the final wild-card spot.

Carolina are already assured of their post-season berth but are hoping to win the division.

The Panthers have the same 11-4 record as the NFC South leaders New Orleans but the Saints own the tie-breaker.

Details for Sunday’s game are below:

Date: Sunday, Dec. 31

Start time: 4:25 p.m. ET

Location: Atlanta, GA

Stadium: Mercedes-Benz Stadium

Radio: 92.9 The Game

It’s the final home game of the season, but let’s hope it isn’t the final game. The Falcons need all their fans to be on deck for this one as they look to secure their spot in the 2017 NFL Playoffs.
